Multi-Chain Testing Addresses

This document contains real wallet addresses with activity on the 10 supported chains for testing your portfolio tracker.

🎯 Supported Chains

We support 10 carefully curated chains with the highest user adoption:
  1. Bitcoin - BTC via Blockstream API
  2. Ethereum - ETH and ERC-20 tokens
  3. Base - Coinbase’s L2
  4. Arbitrum - Leading Optimistic Rollup
  5. Polygon - High-volume sidechain
  6. Optimism - OP Stack L2
  7. BNB Chain - Binance ecosystem
  8. Avalanche - Fast finality L1
  9. Blast - Native yield L2
  10. zkSync Era - zkRollup technology

🧪 How to Test

  1. Add each address in the wallet form
  2. Select the corresponding chain
  3. Verify tokens are detected
  4. Check balances display correctly
  5. ENS names auto-select Ethereum

📊 Primary Testing Address

Universal EVM Address (Works on All 9 EVM Chains)

Owner: Vitalik Buterin
ENS: vitalik.eth
Has activity on: All major EVM chains
Good for: Testing all EVM chains (Ethereum, Base, Optimism, Arbitrum, Polygon, BNB, Avalanche, Blast, zkSync)

🪙 Bitcoin

⚡ Bitcoin Mainnet

Owner: Satoshi Nakamoto
Has: Historical BTC transactions
Good for: Testing Bitcoin integration
Alternative with balance:
Has: Active BTC balance

💎 Top Tier Chains (Billions in TVL)

⟠ Ethereum Mainnet

Has: ETH, USDC, DAI, various ERC-20 tokens, NFTs
Good for: Testing ENS resolution, token detection

🔵 Base (Coinbase L2)

Has: ETH, various Base tokens
Good for: Testing L2 functionality

🔷 Arbitrum

Has: ETH, ARB, USDC
Good for: Testing Optimistic Rollups

🟣 Polygon

Has: MATIC, USDC, various tokens
Good for: Testing sidechain integration

🔴 Optimism

Has: ETH, OP, USDC
Good for: Testing OP Stack chains

🟡 BNB Chain

Has: BNB, BEP-20 tokens
Good for: Testing Binance ecosystem

🔺 Avalanche

Has: AVAX, various Avalanche tokens
Good for: Testing alt-L1 integration

🚀 Growing L2s (Hundreds of Millions in TVL)

💥 Blast

Has: ETH on Blast (native yield)
Good for: Testing newer L2s

⚡ zkSync Era

Has: ETH and zkSync tokens
Good for: Testing zkRollup technology

🎯 Quick Testing Strategy

Complete Test (10 minutes)

Test all 10 supported chains:
  1. ✅ Bitcoin (bitcoin-mainnet)
  2. ✅ Ethereum (eth-mainnet) - Use vitalik.eth for ENS
  3. ✅ Base (base-mainnet)
  4. ✅ Arbitrum (arbitrum-mainnet)
  5. ✅ Polygon (polygon-mainnet)
  6. ✅ Optimism (optimism-mainnet)
  7. ✅ BNB Chain (bnb-mainnet)
  8. ✅ Avalanche (avalanche-mainnet)
  9. ✅ Blast (blast-mainnet)
  10. ✅ zkSync Era (zksync-mainnet)

✅ Testing Checklist

For each chain, verify:
  • Address format - Accepts valid addresses (Bitcoin vs EVM)
  • ENS resolution - Works on Ethereum (auto-selects eth-mainnet)
  • Native token - Correctly identifies (BTC, ETH, MATIC, AVAX, BNB)
  • ERC-20 tokens - Detects and displays tokens (EVM chains only)
  • Logo display - Shows professional chain logo
  • Balance calculation - Shows correct USD value
  • Chain display - Shows correct chain name
  • Multiple wallets - Can add same address on different chains

🔍 Expected Results

✅ Success Indicators:

  • Address resolves quickly (< 3 seconds)
  • Native token balance appears
  • ERC-20 tokens are detected (if present)
  • USD values calculate correctly
  • Wallet appears in holdings table
  • Logo displays properly

❌ Potential Issues:

  • Zero balance - Normal for unused chains
  • Rate limiting - Wait 1 minute, try again
  • No tokens found - Address might not be active on that chain
  • ENS not working - Only works on Ethereum mainnet

💡 Pro Tips

  1. Use Vitalik’s address (0xd8dA…) for EVM chains - Has activity on most networks
  2. Test ENS on Ethereum - vitalik.eth should auto-resolve
  3. Bitcoin needs different address - Use bc1q… format
  4. Logo scaling - BTC and ETH logos are automatically scaled for consistency
  5. Check console logs - They show API responses and errors
  6. Test incrementally - Add one chain at a time

🚨 Known Limitations

  1. Testnets - May have inconsistent data
  2. New chains - Might have limited token detection
  3. API rate limits - Alchemy limits ~300 requests/second
  4. Zero balances - Expected for inactive addresses on specific chains
