# Private Investments

The **Private Investments** section is for illiquid holdings that don't have public tickers.

## Adding a private investment

    Company or fund name, investment amount, date, ownership percentage, and current estimated value.

  <Step title="Update valuations">
    Adjust value manually after 409A updates, financing rounds, or fund NAV statements.

## Storing docs

Upload SAFEs, term sheets, capital call notices, and K-1s to the [Vault](/product-guide/portfolio/vault) and tag them with the investment name.
