# Precious Metals

> Track gold, silver, platinum, and palladium holdings.

The **Precious Metals** section tracks physical bullion and coins. Values update using live spot prices.

## Supported metals

* Gold
* Silver
* Platinum
* Palladium

## Adding a holding

    Choose the metal, the form (coin, bar, other), and the weight in troy ounces.

    Purchase price and date so Silvia can calculate gains.

## Value updates

Silvia values holdings using live spot prices. The chart shows both quantity-adjusted value and the underlying spot price.
